Baqir Badami Group CFO and Chief Transformation Officer of AZAQ, has a track record of successful strategic and tactical leadership, including several years within a diversified conglomerate. He demonstrated his ability to instill a common vision and develop commercially-focused and impactful business partnering functions. Baqir completed his Chartered Accountancy program from Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) in 1994.

Baqir started his career joining Deloitte, KSA in 1995 as an Assistant Manager providing Audit and Assurance services to local and multinational clients. In 1999, Baqir joined F. M. Tamer and Co, a leading distributor of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in Saudi Arabia as the Internal Audit Manager.

Baqir’s rich expertise and knowledge paved the way for him to move from the CFO of F.M. Tamer and Co. (Distribution Business) in 2001 to Group CFO of Tamer Group in 2004. Baqir joined AZAQ Group as a Group CFO in 2008 where he established the Group Finance Function to support the AZAQ Group subsidiaries and the AZAQ Group’s strategic interests.

Baqir is also a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) of the United Kingdom and has attended the Advance Management Program from INSEAD.
