One of Estadem Initiatives
At AZAQ we consume around 724,320 plastic bottles and 5.2 million sheets of paper annually. Each plastic bottle takes approximately 450 years to decompose.
In line with our values and to meet our environmental objective as part of our CSR initiative Qarir we started Estadem, a recycling initiative that will enable us to be a plastic bottle-free company and to eliminate paper wastage.
Our commitment to environmental sustainability
Our goal is to be an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliant company. We are committed to managing environmental and social sustainability which will drive us to achieve industry-leading progress. We started measures to improve our environment by providing water dispensers on each floor at the AZAQ Dammam Head Office and the ABC Building in Al Khobar.
Technology has also greatly contributed to our goal for ESG. We introduced AZAQHive, creating an ecosystem of information that helps to digitalize and minimize paper usage. We have also implemented ERP (Microsoft Dynamics) and Human Capital Management System (HCM) to eliminate manual processes of Admin and Human Capital.
Towards our vision of being an environmentally friendly organization
We have distributed personalized metal bottles to make it easier for us to consume less plastic. We encourage you to use the water dispensers to refill your metal bottle instead of drinking from a plastic bottle which makes a big difference to our planet.
