Work is proceeding on schedule in the construction of the new Riyadh headquarters building for Ali Zaid Al Quraishi & Brothers Company (AZAQ). The building is situated in Riyadh’s Ar Rabwah District at the cross of Prince Fawaz Ibn Abdulaziz Street and Al Muhallab Ibn Abi Safra Street. Groundbreaking at the site took place in October 2012, with the project’s completion anticipated at the end of this year.

The new Riyadh headquarters is being built on a 3400 square meter plot of land. The Ground Floor and First Floor are designed in an L-shape with the area of each floor approximately 1300 square meters. Parking concerns have been kept in mind in the site design with an underground parking area constructed to accommodate 85 cars and above ground parking outside the building for 20 vehicles.

The L-shaped design of each floor provides 590 square meters on the left side of the L and 470 square meters on the right side of the L. The main entrance in the middle offers an area of 275 square meters. The right side of the L is dedicated for AZAQ offices and the left side on both floors is to be leased, with inquiries welcome.

The office building’s finishing is elegant, utilizing premium materials and top quality industrial-grade mechanical fittings, while keeping environmental realities forefront in the structure’s operations. The building’s air conditioning system relies on Trane chillers, with double glazed, heat reflective windows to reduce cooling costs. The office suites have raised carpeted flooring. The reception and service areas are clad in beautiful natural stone, Crema Marfil and Nero Assoluto. Kohler fittings are standard in all hygiene areas.

Energy saving is a theme throughout the project with innovative LED lighting utilized for the building’s external lighting system. Automated systems manage the building’s lighting, air conditioning, safety and security.
